Men Love Watches and Gadgets

It is a curious observation about men—they love to fiddle with things.  Don’t know why they are so eager to open and close something, turn it over, examine the internal operation and try to understand how it works.  But, they do!

They also seem to relish different kinds of watches.  Even in this era of “time” appearing on everything from a cell phone to a computer; men still appreciate a slick and handsome watch.  It has something to do with their sense of manliness.  Real Men Wear Watches—at least that’s what all the GQ magazines espouse.  But, perhaps, it’s simply that a timepiece is the only jewelry that is a legitimate choice for the average guy. They don’t want chains and they don’t want bracelets—they want different kinds of watches.

That’s why the HourPower timepiece is such a standout as a gift for your guy.  It has a  secret compartment to hold engraved messages and a photo; all housed in a great looking chunk of solid stainless steel—making it unique in a world of sameness.  It’s actually kind of exciting to find something that will be really used and enjoyed for all the right reasons.

Work Your 12 Step Program by Staying in the Moment

Motivation — admin @ 7:29 am

John, one of my best friends, just let me know that he had a relapse.  He was really upset that this happened.  He had been doing so well—over 5 years in recovery.  His mistake was, he thought he had this disease licked.  Last year, he met a lovely woman, got married and promptly moved to another city.

12 step recovery with HourPower watchesAll good things—except that he stopped attending meetings regularly and he didn’t keep up with his sponsor or find a new one.  He stopped staying in the moment and working his program one day at a time.

We have been talking about how he can begin again.  Aside from his meetings and working the steps, he is going to be using his HourPower watch (www.hourpowerwatches.com) to stay focused.  He’s going to be checking the time and his secret message to keep him going forward.  He said that he never wants to forget who he is and what he has to do.  Looking down at his wrist, reminds him of his goal and the hours that have successfully passed in his day.  Minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, he is fighting his way back to recovery.

We’re all in his corner and praying for him.
